The Problem
Over time, our inboxes fill with subscriptions we don't remember signing up for, promotions from one-time purchases, and automated messages we never read. The average inbox has 50-100+ senders that add nothing but noise.
Cleaning this up manually is tedious. Existing tools that automate it typically require full access to your emails on their servers — scanning, indexing, and sometimes monetizing your data. We didn't think that was an acceptable trade-off.
Our Approach
SpamBear is local-first. Your email data is processed entirely on your device — in your browser or on your phone. We never read, store, or transmit your email content to our servers.
The experience is designed to feel satisfying, not like a chore. You swipe through sender cards — keep what matters, remove the rest. Most people clean up their inbox in under five minutes.
What We Believe
- Privacy isn't a feature — it's the foundation. We built our architecture so we never have access to your emails. Not "we promise not to look," but "we literally can't."
- Simple tools beat complex systems. You don't need AI to decide if a sender is useful. You already know. We just make it fast to act on that knowledge.
